Dr. Elham Neisani-Samani is a physician, researcher, and advocate specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk pregnancies. Her work is centered on improving outcomes for women through clinical care, research, and education, particularly in underserved and high-risk populations.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Elham Neisani-Samani’s early life was shaped by resilience and determination, growing up during a time of conflict that exposed her to the realities of hardship at a young age. These experiences influenced her decision to pursue a career in medicine and dedicate her life to helping others. She entered medical school at a prestigious institution in Tehran at the age of 19, where she quickly distinguished herself academically. During her training, she received multiple honors, including the Exceptional Student Award and Best Research Presentation Award. She also ranked first in the National Comprehensive Pre-Internship Examination, reflecting her strong academic performance and commitment to excellence.

Following medical school, she completed a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, where she served as Chief Resident. During this time, she gained extensive clinical experience managing complex obstetric cases and developed a strong interest in maternal-fetal medicine. Her career has included providing care in rural and underserved communities across Iran, where she served as one of the only OB/GYN physicians in certain regions. In these roles, she managed high patient volumes, worked in resource-limited settings, and contributed to improving healthcare delivery systems for women.

Dr. Elham Neisani-Samani journey has also been marked by personal resilience, including overcoming a serious car accident and navigating significant personal and professional challenges. These experiences have shaped her empathetic approach to patient care and strengthened her commitment to supporting women through complex and vulnerable medical situations.

In 2013, she moved to the United States to continue her academic and research career, completing a research fellowship at Yale University. She has since contributed extensively to the field, authoring more than 30 scientific publications and presenting her work at national and international conferences. Her research interests include reproductive medicine, perinatal mood disorders, and innovative approaches such as the application of artificial intelligence in women’s healthcare.

She has received multiple awards recognizing her contributions to research and clinical excellence, including recent honors in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Beyond her clinical and academic work,  Dr. Elham Neisani-Samani is deeply committed to advocacy and community service. She is a co-founder of a nonprofit organization supporting Middle Eastern women and girls in advancing their education and leadership. She also collaborates with organizations such as Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS), supporting displaced populations in building new lives. Her professional philosophy emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care, continuous learning, and resilience. She is dedicated to training future physicians and advancing healthcare systems that better serve diverse and underserved populations.
